Handling Money God's Way

My husband and I are going out today to watch a movie. We are going to celebrate a little accomplishment that we both did. As a Christian woman, I only listen to the Christian radio station or only listen to a Christian CD's. One of my favorite radio program is the one hosted by Howard Dayton and Steve Moore with Crown Financial.( Well , they have a new host now, Chuck Bently ) They have been teaching , on how to handle money in God's way. So I am doing this " Money Map, Journey to a debt free living". As of my now, my husband and I have no credit debt, plus our credit scores are very good. I made double payments on the car. My goal now is to pay it off in less than 2 years. I just hope and pray that our house in Ohio will be sold, so that when it's time to buy to buy a house here in Minnesota, we don't have to worry about paying two mortgages. We put that house in the market for quite some time now, but I believe it's not the right time yet. I believe that in God's time that house will get sold!

Unexpected Meeting with a Filipino Friend

After church today, I decided to take a nap before going to eat for lunch. I wasn't hungry yet although it was already past 12 . I think it's because I ate muffins at the Sunday School class. I brought muffins today, as it's my schedule to bring snacks for our class. Ived already in bed when the phone rings. I thought it was Todd. When I looked at the caller ID it was from NC. Then I thought it was Allison , ( one of the Ombudsmen for my husband's command ) . It wasn't her either.

Then I found out that it was Evelyn. She is my sister's classmate in Bible School in Cebu. She also became my friend as I always go to the Bible School . I was so excited when I talked to her on the phone and she told that they are in Charleston SC. And guess what they went to the church which is really near where I live. I told them that I am going to met them at the Chinese Restaurant for lunch and I will be there in about 20 minutes. ( Geeezzz.. talking about taking nap ha )

So we had lunch and then we went to the mall after that. Too bad our meeting was very short. They have to leave around 3 pm to go to Walterboro SC as her husband is going to preach the evening service.

Spending Time with my Husband

It's been a while that I have not updated this blog of mine. Poor thing! I am just busy with work and other stuff. Right now my husband is in day shift, so I try to make sure that I spend time with him as much as possible. So now my schedule is got up about 6 a.m. then go to work, arrived home around 5 pm and then go to the gym and do workout for an hour an half, come home and cook dinner . In two weeks my husband will be in a swing shift again. And that means I wouldn't be able to spend as much time with him as I want to. Every year he always go some place. In 2005 he was in VA for about 6 months . In 2006 , he went to Bahrain and after a month went to the Middle East for 11 months. And this year he went to South Korea. That is why when he's home , I want to spend time with him. Do something together and have fun.

Weird Weather

We all know that spring is already here. Normally the temperature where I lived during April is already around 85, that hot ha, wait till it's summer. But for the past 2 days our temperature dropped to lower 40, very strange ha.

I don't like cold weather and that I am so thankful that we live in a place where there is no snow. I like snow , but I don't want to live in a place where I have to get up early so I could shovel the driveway . :)

Spring Spa & Brunch

Good morning everyone.It's Saturday and I am actually up early this morning? There must be something special going on .

We have a spring spa and brunch at church today. This is a free event sponsored by the women under grace ministries . I am bringing a friend with me . We have pedicure, manicure, facial massage, body massage and of course my favorite part, ( FOOD ) . Being with your sisters in Christ is an amazing experience.

The most important part of this event is for us to be able to share the love of God and salvation. There are so many hurting women and busy moms out there that they don't time for themselves anymore. They're busy with their career, children. I am sure that this even will be a great experience for all of us .

Happy Wednesday

Good morning everyone. I can't believe another week is almost over. It's Wednesday. Well, there 's not much going on with me, except work, home, sleep, blog and of course eating. I really looking forward for the weekend though. There's a Spring Brunch and Spa at church for women. I could use a little massage and some facial ? ( probably) . My two Filipina friends in Charleston area will be coming with me and I am sure that will be fun .

My God is watching me all the time

When you're by yourself most of the time, a lot of things will just come out of your mind. I am just celebrating my 36th birthday. And as I was thinking about it, I really thank the Lord for giving another year to live.

There were many days in my life that I thought was my last day. On January 2002, few weeks before I got married, as I was at work there were two people who came inside and robbed us. That was during the pay day. The other guy pointed a gun into my face and demanded that they only want "MONEY" . I was so frightened that I wasnt' able to move.

And on March of that same year as I was in downton Cebu waiting for a jeepney, a man put his one hand on my shoulder and his other hand was pointing a knife into my stomach. He said he only want my " CELLPHONE". The cellphone was on my pocket, so I took it and slamp on the ground and he picked it up and gone. There were people around us, but they didn't really help. I think they're scared because as they say, these robber or snatcher are not alone when they're robbing people.

April 11,2002. I was at work and about 1 pm , my sister called and told me that the house where we live burned down. We've lost everything. The only thing that she was able to recover is the computer and some of my clothes that were hanged in the closet . She wasn't even able to save at least one of her clothes. That was really sad, especially that I was getting all my paperwork ready for my immigration. I have to get all the paperworks again, like birth certificate, my marriage certificate, everything!

July 31,2007, as I was heading home from work I got into a car accident. It was about 5:15 or so and was raining really hard. I was already at the bridge going downhill and the traffic was bumper to bumper when all of a sudden the break didn't work. I hit the brake as hard as I can, but the car keeps going so I went to the shoulder to avoid hitting cars. Traffic stopped except me and I was already screaming to my lungs, then I hit tractor trailer hauling a 40 foot container. There is really nothing I can do that time except asking God to help me. And when I was about to hit the truck, I just close my eyes and say " I am going to die and this is it"! After I hit the truck the car still keeps moving until there was no more room. When I finally stop I opened my eyes and said " Hmm.. I am still alive, Thank God"! I wanted to get out from the car, but I can't . On the driver side was the big truck and I on the passenger was the wall of the bridge. Yes, I was halfway of falling from the bridge. When the truck driver finally move the truck, that was then that I was able to get out. I was so scared, but I haven't really cried that time. The car was totaled though, but I am so thankful that I am well and alive and didn't broke my bones.

My life has been in danger many times, but I know God was there with me all those times and I know that He will always be there all the time :)

I got a headache

Good morning everyone. I woke up today with a headache. I think I know the reason. I need more sleep. I did not go to bed until 4 a.m. this morning, am planning to sleep in late, but the people are mowing the lawn.. grrr... it was so loud . " Come on people, it's only 8 in the morning and it's saturday. Let the people sleep in a little bit.

But anyhow, I try to go back to sleep but could not. I think from now on I will go to bed earlier . No more staying up late until early in the morning.

Beautiful Friday

I had a really busy day at work today. Friday is the busiest day for me at work. Aside from doing my billing , I also help with the payroll. But I love what I am doing. I think we will be productive if we love what we're doing.

But anyway,our temperature today is just perfect. Perfect for picnic and just stay out. It's not that hot and it's not that cold. It's just perfect. Our temperature here down south is kind of crazy. Just like yesterday, it was kind of cold , it was nasty outside. It was raining, foggy, and the temperature drops. And today was just the opposite. Although it was foggy this morning. But in the afternoon, the sun came out looking so proud.

Cherry Chat or Cherry Flavor ?

I have been sick for a couple of weeks now. This started a day after my husband left for S Korea, everytime he goes out of the country, I always got sick the next day . I don't know why, but maybe it's because I am missing him so much .



I was out for work for 2 and half days , my officemates thought that I have a strep throat, but when I went to the doctor she told me I don't have a strep, that my throat was red due to my coughing. She did prescribed me a medication that I have to take for 10 days. I did take the medications as directed ( at first ) . But then when I feel better, I stopped taking them.

My husband did found out that I have not taken all my medication. So he bought me a Nyquil to take before I go to bed, but I told him I don't want to because it's Cherry flavor. I don't like the smell of a cherry when it's on medicines. And today as I was chatting in my favorite pastime. He said, " I thought you don't like Cherry" then I said yes.. I don't like cherry. Then he continued.. but you like to chat at Cherry blossoms. :) Yes I do like to chat in Cherry Blossoms.. I have been in this site for so long and I made lots of friends in CB .. as in Cherry Blossoms .
