A Pay Raise – What a Blessing !
It’s been a while since I made an update on this blog. I was just busy with my own life. Yes I have a life aside from chatting and blogging he he he he .
Anyway, some of you probably knew that my husband and I moved up here in Minnesota last June 2008 . Before we moved, I asked my manger in Charleston if I could transfer at our branch here in Minnesota. He made some phone calls, but unfortunately, they don’t have any vacancy. Well, they don’t want to hire a new employee to replace me , instead they want me to work for Charleston office while I am in Minnesota. I am not sure how they arranged it , but I have my own office ( by myself ) , just imagine how boring it is. Yes , no one is supervising me. In fact, one of the sales person on our branch here made this remark . “THEY MUST HAVE TRUST YOU” . They can say that NO one is watching me, but I know God is watching me. He is my ultimate employer .
Last Friday, I had a call from my operations manager . We chit chat a little bit and then all of a sudden he said. Do you know that you are supposed to get a pay raise last November ? “ I said NO, I was not expecting to receive a pay raise because of the economy. I don’t mind not getting a pay raise as long as I still have my job “.And then he continued to tell me that he is going to fix it so I could get my increase and get a retro from the month of November until now . And I did received the back pay check last Tuesday. What a wonderful blessing from God!
