God is an Amazing God!

Good morning everyone and Happy Weekend!

It has been awhile since I made an update on this blog. For the last few months, I have been busy looking for houses on the internet. We started looking for a home since February of this year. Sometimes, it gets frustrating, and it's also fun and scary at the same time. Like that time that I saw an "URN with ashes" , we call that house a dead guy's house.We have been to a house which I can't bear the smell. Oh so yucky!

But I know God will provide us a home at HIS time. And He did, isn't God an amazing God ? We settle for a brand new construction , we were able to chose color, fixtures ,etc. The house is now complete and we will be closing soon. We're praying that everything will go smoothly. And also we're hoping that the weather is not so bad by the time we move. If you didn't know, we already have snow here this early October.

If you have noticed, I seldom made an update on this blog. I was kind of sick this past days. But I don't want to take a vacation.There was one morning at work, that I was really throwing up (YUCK!) And also lately, I have been going to bed early. Yes 8:30 is my bed time. ( Only on the weekdays though he he he ) .

Update!

It's weekend once again and yes it's time to do some blog updating, blog hopping and EC dropping :)

I was supposed to go to a women's breakfast this morning , but I didn't wake up on time . Of course it's because I went to bed late last night. I was chatting with my sister and also looking for houses online ( Hopefully, we're be able to purchase a house this year . Please pray for me and my husband )

So instead of having a breakfast with a group of women at church. I had a breakfast by myself. And while waiting for my breakfast , I was also preparing to do the laundry. Wow, I can't believe how much laundry we have although it is just me and my husband.

Hopefully, I won't be stuck inside the house doing laundry, folding, cleaning etc. It is so nice outside to be stuck inside the house he he he.

Well, I better stay away from the computer now and finish my cleaning so I can at least enjoy the sun outside.

A Nice Weekend !

Happy Weekend Everyone! I hope your week was a fruitful one!

I am so looking forward for this weekend, first because the weather will be a fantastic one. I think it's safe for me to say that I am tired of the cold weather here in Minnesota. Well, if Minnesotans say that they are tired of this weather, how much more someone like me who grew up in the hot Philippines and lived in South Carolina for 5 years? Everyone here was telling me ( whether from church or work or family ) that this is one of the coldest and longest winter they have here. My husband and I picked the right year to move up here. he he he. At least I have experienced the so called coldest weather. If you lived in Minnesota, I don't think you would buy into that global warming thing. Just imagine having an 8 below temperature with a windchill of 25 below in the month of March.

But anyhow, this weekend we will have a gorgeous weather. It's perfect for going to a women's breakfast at church and then met with the realtor to look for a house. Well, I better go to bed now as it's getting very late. I was supposed to stay up really really late, but then I remember that I have to get up early tomorrow for the women's breakfast at Church :)

Minnesota Twins Tickets

The Minnesota Twins will play their last regular season game at the Metro dome on October 04,2009. Todd and I wanted to watch them play and join the fun. Todd already know that March 7 is the day when they are going to start selling tickets. We even marked our calendars so we won't forget this day. Todd has to work today so he reminded me again and again last night to make sure I get online at noon . he he he .

So, I got up early today, went to CVS for a Passport photo and went straight to the post office to apply for a US Passport as well as send out our Federal and State Taxes Returns. Although our Federal and one state has been filed electronically, I have to sent out a check to Uncle Sam for the money we owed :( . And yes, we filed for three states, Ohio ,South Carolina and Minnesota.

Anyway, back to the Minnesota Twins Tickets. About 5 minutes before 12, I was already at the Minnesota Twins website and at noon I click the Buy Ticket right away. And guess what, they sent me to their " VIRTUAL WAITING ROOM ". Part of the message says,

" Welcome to the Minnesota Twins Virtual Waiting Room! The event you have requested is experiencing very high demand. As a result, all requests for seats cannot be served simultaneously. Your browser will be refreshed in ___ seconds" ....

I was patiently waiting and waiting and after an hour of waiting, they finally take me to the page where I can select a seat. I wanted to choose the best seat I can find LOL. But it keeps saying error, grrrrr.... I finally settle for seats that are kind of in between. And that was after almost two hours of waiting. Yes, I have wasted that much time just to buy a baseball game ticket.

I am so looking forward for this game and I am hoping that my Minnesota Twins will do good this year!

It Snowed Again and It's cold..

It has been three weeks that it didn't snow. Our temperature was very decent. Above freezing temperature and I was loving it. Our high has been around upper 30's which is really good. But that nice and road ( no snow ) and milder temperature are gone. Cold temperature is back again and of course the snow. In fact, I just saw in the local TV news that there's a snow emergency in effect in the Twin Cities. They're saying that you cannot park your car in some areas or your car will be towed.

Anyway, since it's snowing in Minnesota. I decided to take this Snow Test just for fun and below is the result .

A Pay Raise - What a Blessing !

It's been a while since I made an update on this blog. I was just busy with my own life. Yes I have a life aside from chatting and blogging he he he he .

Anyway, some of you probably knew that my husband and I moved up here in Minnesota last June 2008 . Before we moved, I asked my manger in Charleston if I could transfer at our branch here in Minnesota. He made some phone calls, but unfortunately, they don't have any vacancy. Well, they don't want to hire a new employee to replace me , instead they want me to work for Charleston office while I am in Minnesota. I am not sure how they arranged it , but I have my own office ( by myself ) , just imagine how boring it is. Yes , no one is supervising me. In fact, one of the sales person on our branch here made this remark . "THEY MUST HAVE TRUST YOU" . They can say that NO one is watching me, but I know God is watching me. He is my ultimate employer .

Last Friday, I had a call from my operations manager . We chit chat a little bit and then all of a sudden he said. Do you know that you are supposed to get a pay raise last November ? " I said NO, I was not expecting to receive a pay raise because of the economy. I don't mind not getting a pay raise as long as I still have my job ".And then he continued to tell me that he is going to fix it so I could get my increase and get a retro from the month of November until now . And I did received the back pay check last Tuesday. What a wonderful blessing from God!
